Buy StrawPoll Votes: How StrawPoll Stops Repeat Votes and What Promotion Can Do
You can't buy StrawPoll votes from Voting Now, because we don't sell votes directly; we sell promotion that puts the poll link in front of real people. Each supporter opens the link and picks an option themselves. No bots, no fake accounts. StrawPoll still runs its own duplicate checks, an IP-based check on anonymous polls and a browser-session check on group polls, and nobody can guarantee that your option finishes first.

Can you buy StrawPoll votes, and what does Voting Now sell?
Voting Now does not sell StrawPoll votes directly. The service is promotion for a poll: paid ads, native PR, a network of creators and blogger groups, and our own social accounts, all pointed at real people who open the poll link and choose an option themselves. No bots, no fake accounts, and no promise that your option wins.
I'd put the uncomfortable part first. A StrawPoll result is only as clean as the settings behind it, and StrawPoll says as much in its own FAQ: how reliable a poll's results are depends strongly on the parameters its creator picked. Anyone offering a fixed number of clicks on a poll is selling something those parameters were set up to refuse.
What you can pay for on a StrawPoll poll is attention. You pay for the poll promotion itself, priced the way advertisers price leads, with a quote agreed before anything runs. The count that comes out of it belongs to the people who saw a post, opened the link and decided your option was the one they wanted.
StrawPoll duplicate vote checking starts with the poll type
StrawPoll describes two levels of duplicate checking on its poll-types page. An anonymous poll gets a strict check built on the IP address plus extra measures StrawPoll keeps secret; a group poll gets what StrawPoll itself calls a low check, tied to the browser session. The creator chooses the type, and with it the strictness.
On top of the poll type, StrawPoll's beginner guide says a reCAPTCHA v3 check runs by default to keep fake votes down. Voters never see a puzzle. The check works in the background and decides whether the visitor is a person or not. VPN connections are refused by default as well, because StrawPoll says most VPN users connect through one to fake an IP address.
The create-a-poll page adds tools for a creator who wants a tighter count: IP checking, unique codes handed to each participant, and CAPTCHA verification, which StrawPoll lists as a Pro feature. A poll protected by codes is a closed room. Promotion can't open it, and I wouldn't want it to.
What IP and browser-session checks cannot tell apart
An IP address identifies a connection, not a person, and StrawPoll's strict check on anonymous polls starts from the IP. A family on one home router, a team behind one office network or a dorm sharing a connection can look like a single visitor, and StrawPoll does not publish how its secret extra measures treat them.
The browser-session check on group polls is lighter, and StrawPoll says so plainly by calling it low. A creator who picks it is trading strictness for convenience inside a group that knows its members. Think of it as a sign on the door rather than a bolt. Creators who need more choose the anonymous type or hand out codes, which is their call, not ours.
Neither check cares where a visitor came from. A person who clicked a streamer's post, a newsletter link or one of our ads lands on the same StrawPoll page and meets the same checks. Promotion can't buy a looser rule on a StrawPoll poll, and a supporter who tries for a second pick on a strict poll is exactly what the check was built to stop.
Promotion brings people to a StrawPoll option; the pick stays theirs
Promotion for a StrawPoll option means putting the poll link in front of people who already care about the question: fans of a streamer, members of a club, readers of a hobby newsletter. Voting Now runs paid ads, native PR, creator and blogger groups and its own social accounts to reach them on the way to the poll.
Example scenario (illustrative - not a client result): a podcast asks listeners to pick the next episode topic on a StrawPoll anonymous poll, and one topic belongs to a guest with a loyal following somewhere else. Promotion there means telling that following the poll exists, where the link is and when the deadline falls. Each listener who cares opens it and picks once.
What promotion cannot do is just as concrete. It cannot make the strict IP check count a household twice, it cannot get a code to someone the creator never invited, and it cannot stop a creator from closing the poll early. I'd rather say that up front than explain it after the deadline has passed.
Audience, deadline and channels set what StrawPoll promotion costs
The cost of StrawPoll promotion is built like any advertising quote: who needs to see the poll link, how many days remain before the creator's deadline, and which channels fit that audience. Voting Now prices poll promotion the way advertisers price leads, and the quote is agreed with you before anything runs.
Audience comes first. A narrow group (players of one game, members of one association) is easier to describe and harder to find in volume, while a broad one is the reverse. A short window forces heavier placement into fewer days. And a poll that hides its results makes reporting harder, which changes how we plan the follow-up posts and reminders.
Two things do not move the quote: the number you hope to see on the counter, and the size of a rival option's lead. Neither is something we can sell on a StrawPoll poll, because neither is something we control.
Which StrawPoll requests get a no from Voting Now
Voting Now turns down a StrawPoll request when the poll's creator has said outside promotion is unwelcome, when the poll is closed to invited code holders, and when the question is political or governmental. A poll whose deadline is too close for real people to see a post and act on it gets an honest no as well.
A few refusals are about how the request is phrased, not about the poll itself:
- A fixed count of picks by a set hour. Honest promotion cannot promise one, so we do not quote it.
- Anything involving bots, scripts, VPN rotation or extra accounts. StrawPoll's terms forbid spidering, crawling and scraping, and its checks exist for the rest.
- We do not touch a poll tied to a giveaway or a prize draw.
- A request to keep the promotion secret from the creator. If the creator asks who promoted an option, the answer is us.
| Check | How it works | What promotion can do | What it misses |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strict check, anonymous polls | Uses the IP address plus extra measures StrawPoll keeps secret. | Bring each real supporter once, from their own connection. | Several honest people on one home or office network may look like one. |
| Low check, group polls | Tied to the browser session, a level StrawPoll itself calls low. | Reach group members the creator wants to hear from. | StrawPoll rates it low, so the creator accepts a looser count. |
| reCAPTCHA v3, on by default | A background test decides whether the visitor is human, with no puzzle shown. | Send people, who pass it by being people. | It judges whether someone is human, not whether they already picked. |
| VPN block, on by default | Visitors on VPN connections cannot take part in the poll. | Remind supporters to open the link on a normal connection. | Honest supporters who browse through a work VPN are refused too. |
| CAPTCHA verification, Pro polls | An extra CAPTCHA step that StrawPoll offers on its Pro version. | Nothing beyond sending real people who can solve it. | Adds friction for every supporter, including the genuine ones. |
| Unique participant codes | The creator hands one code to each person allowed to take part. | Nothing for outsiders, since only invited code holders can choose. | Only as tight as the creator's own handout of codes. |
| Deadline date | After the date the creator sets, no one can pick an option. | Land every post and reminder well before the closing minute. | A creator can move it to close the poll at once. |
Step by step
-
Send the StrawPoll and its deadline
Send us the poll link, the option you back and the deadline as the poll page shows it to you. Tell us whether results appear after someone picks, since that decides how we report.
-
Find the creator's word on promotion
Look at how the creator announced the poll: a stream, a post, a newsletter, a club channel. If it says picks should come only from one community, promotion outside it is a no from us too.
-
Agree the quote through our contact
We sketch the audience and the channels, then send a quote for the poll promotion, priced the way advertisers price leads. Nothing runs until you accept it through this site's contact.
-
Real people open the link
Ads, native PR, creator and blogger posts and our own accounts point people to the StrawPoll page. Each person meets StrawPoll's own checks and picks an option, at the pace the platform allows.
-
Read the results the creator shows
Where results are public, compare the count with the deadline every day. Where the creator hides them, wait for the announcement after closing; our report covers what ran and where, never a promised count.
Questions and answers
Can you buy StrawPoll votes?
No. Voting Now does not sell StrawPoll votes; it sells promotion that sends real people to the poll link, where each person picks for themselves. StrawPoll's FAQ puts the reliability of any result on the settings the creator chose, so the creator's choices, the platform's checks and the supporters' own decisions decide the count. Promotion only decides who hears about the poll.
How does StrawPoll prevent multiple votes?
StrawPoll prevents multiple votes with a double-voting check whose strength depends on the poll type: strict on anonymous polls, low on group polls. The strict check uses the IP address plus undisclosed measures; the low one is tied to the browser session. A background reCAPTCHA v3 test and a VPN block run by default, and a creator can add participant codes or, on Pro, a CAPTCHA step.
Can you vote twice on StrawPoll?
No. StrawPoll's double-voting checks are built to keep one pick per person, and the poll's creator controls how strictly duplicates are handled. Anonymous polls use the strict IP-based check, and group polls a lighter session check. A second attempt is exactly the behavior those checks look for, and Voting Now does not help anyone try it.
Does StrawPoll use IP address to block votes?
Yes. StrawPoll's anonymous poll type runs a strict double-voting check through the IP address plus extra measures it keeps secret, and its create-a-poll page lists IP checking among the ways to limit voting. Group polls rely on the browser session instead. VPN connections are refused by default, because StrawPoll treats them as a common way to fake an IP address.
How do you compare providers that sell StrawPoll votes?
Compare providers by what they claim to control. A provider that names a count of StrawPoll votes and a delivery hour is promising an outcome that the poll's checks and its creator decide. Ask instead which audience sees the link, through which channels, and whether every visitor is a real person choosing freely. The free alternative is the creator's own community, asked once with the link.
What happens to a StrawPoll poll after its deadline?
Picking on a StrawPoll poll stops at its deadline date, and nobody can add a choice once that date passes. Polls have no deadline unless the creator sets one, and a creator can close a poll at once by moving the deadline to the closing moment. Times show in each viewer's own timezone, so a supporter abroad sees a different clock time for the same close.

No one at Voting Now can promise that a StrawPoll option wins or reaches a given result, or that the platform keeps every vote it receives: StrawPoll's checks and the creator's decision on duplicates settle the count, and a creator can close a poll at any minute. We never use bots, scripts, extra accounts or VPN rotation, and we do not promote a poll tied to a giveaway, sweepstakes or raffle. Political or governmental votes are refused, on StrawPoll and anywhere else.
A contest vote sits under two rulebooks, the platform's and the organizer's. Meta's Spam standard lists offering anything of monetary value in exchange for engagement as a covered behavior, and the Santa Barbara Independent says it will disqualify a business that offers voters incentives of any kind. Voting Now reads both rulebooks before it plans anything, and a clause that forbids outside promotion ends the job.
Contest platforms check votes as routine. Easypromos runs each vote through 11 security controls and does not count one that fails any of them, and Woobox says voting fraud is becoming more common as contests grow popular. Voting Now promotes to real people who choose for themselves, at the contest's own pace, and none of this is a method for getting past a check.
Under 16 CFR 465.8, buying fake indicators of social media influence for a commercial purpose can violate the FTC's rule, which is one reason Voting Now promotes to real people and does not bring in bought counts. The FTC's Endorsement Guides also require a paid creator to disclose the connection clearly. Whether outside promotion is lawful for a given contest is a question for a lawyer, and Voting Now takes no political or governmental votes.
No quote promises a win, a ranking or a vote count, because the organizer counts the votes and applies its own rules. The Santa Barbara Independent, for one, says it will disqualify a business that offers voters incentives of any kind. Nothing runs before the client approves a written quote.
